So if that's all you came here for, feel free to leave this website now.
Bardolatry is a Brigitte Bardot information source with a central focus on DISCUSSIONS. Pictures of Brigitte will only be used as a visual aid to those discussions. If all you want to do is milk this site for pictures, go back to doing that Google search. You definitely won't be accommodated.
Any messages asking for pictures or where to find them will be deleted.
References to photo galleries will be deleted.
Pictures will not be discussed here.
All messages about pictures will be ignored and deleted.
If this board fails to meet your expectations and you wish you could be browsing a better site, Google will also come in handy for that. Messages that ask "Where can I find the best Bardot sites?" will be deleted and you will be banned on the spot.
Lastly, I reserve the right to delete any other kind of posts that I feel demonstrate that you don't care about this board and are using it as a directory to get pictures, wallpapers, etc. If you repeatedly SPAM this board with that garbage, you will be banned.
Of course, if you've made a substantial contribution to this board, I might make an exception for you.

BOTTOM LINE: This is a REAL message board and is strictly for learning and TALKING about Brigitte Bardot. I will not waste my time catering to anyone who doesn't plan on adding to the discussion. If you do not care about the life of Brigitte Bardot or the discussions that take place here, you have no reason to browse this website.

Really, for some of you who are new, do you not know that this website is centered on Brigitte Bardot's life and work? Despite me putting this in the rules, some of you can't get it through your damn heads that this is not a customer service site. Do you folks have anything to say that's worth reading, and can you stop with these damn requests?
We're really losing substance in these discussions and discussions are the main area of concern. I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE'S COLLECTIONS AND I DO NOT WANT TO READ ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
I am interested in what people have to say about Brigitte's life and work and I do not want nor care about requests.

I am sick of seeing this great site that I built being wasted as an internet directory.
I am sick of the fact that I've built a great site and am getting uninteresting, mediocre trash in return. If I give quality, I will get quality in return. I want better posts than the garbage I've been receiving and will moderate this board to ensure that I get it.
I worked too hard attempting to make discussions happen on this site and I'm sick of not seeing my work pay off. I WANT INTERESTING DISCUSSIONS AND I DO NOT WANT REQUESTS. When posting here, make damn sure you're posting something that I would find interesting.
The only "job" I'll be performing on this site is to ensure that I find this website entertaining and that my website isn't ruined by milkers.
Now if you're still here, welcome to the Bardolatry message board and thank you for your interest in this community. I pride myself on running the most comprehensive and informative Brigitte Bardot site on the internet. Bardolatry is the only english-language Bardot site of substance and will be moderated to ensure that this remains as a genuine acknowledgement of her life and work. These are the rules, arranged in the order of the greatest annoyances.
INQUIRIES ABOUT MULTIMEDIA ON THE WEB, OTHER SITES, AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE BOARD RULES. There's two parts to this:
1. Lurkers Read the post above and the disclaimer which can be found in the navigation menu on the left. In addition to those, if you attempt to hide your true intentions by feigning interest in this board's discussions, then proceed to post this garbage, you will be banned on the spot.
2. New posters: It's not a good idea to include these in your first posts. You're free to do that after you've made 30 posts. And yes, the majority of those posts have to be of substance.
REQUESTS. If you don't give a damn about what's being discussed here, DO NOT MAKE REQUESTS OF ANY KIND ON THIS BOARD. I am sick of reading nothing but requests on Bardot sites. Requests made by anyone with less than 30 posts will be removed. If you don't plan to post anything besides this, don't bother joining this site because you're not wanted here.
QUALITY OF MESSAGES. The pathetic and uninteresting posts that you see on every other Brigitte Bardot web page will not be tolerated here. Discussions about Brigitte's physical appearance are fine so as long as the majority of your posts are not concerned with it. If I start to notice that this is all you have to talk about, you'll be given a warning. If you continue with this activity, your account will be deleted. Please also refrain from posting one-liners that add nothing to the topic.
Simply put: Make sure that your posts are interesting and constructive or you will be gone.
INACTIVE ACCOUNTS. If you have a post count of zero or five non-constructive posts, you account will be subject to deletion at anytime, without warning. To keep your account, you are required to make at least one constructive post every 3 months.
COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. Do not post messages asking for where you can download copyrighted material for free, and refrain from posting information as to where this can be done. These kinds of messages are against Proboards rules and puts this entire board at risk of being deleted. Whatever movie or music track you want to own, BUY it.
LINKS: If you're going to post a link to another website, please provide us with a detailed description as to why we would be interested in the link. Any posts containing links with little or no info about it will be considered spam, even if it contains info about Brigitte Bardot.
THE 'SEARCH' FUNCTION. There's a Google search engine at the bottom of this board's main page, and an additional search engine at the top navigation menu. Please use those before creating a new thread or asking a question about Brigitte. If I noticed that you created a thread when there's already an existing one on the same subject, your thread will be locked. Please do not take offense to this as it's just to maintain organization with messages.
"PRIVATE" DISCUSSIONS. I will not hold conversations or answer questions about Brigitte Bardot through email or another private outlet. I have no idea why anyone would have to ask me about her in private. The environment here is friendly and you are not going to be flamed for not being a Bardot expert. If you have something to say or ask about her, post it on these boards so that everyone can read it and I don't have to type the same messages over and over again.
STAY ON TOPIC. Please try not to steer any threads off-topic. Create a new thread on a topic if you catch yourself doing so.
ATTACHMENTS. This board has an attachment feature but storage space is limited to 100 MB only. Because of this, I'll have to limit use of this feature only for files in which there are no other free upload services available (example: PDF files). Please continue to use sites like Photobucket and YouTube to upload whatever photos and videos you have. And don't try to upload music files.
Now, for everything else, NO:
Offensive material. Everything posted here must be of PG-13 content. Plugging your website. Fighting Spamming (If you catch anyone doing this, please don't reply to their message, just report it to me.) Direct linkage of photos from other websites.
Any messages in violation of the rules will be deleted. Repeated posting of such messages will result in bannings.
Although this site is a gathering place for Brigitte Bardot fans, it is not a typical fansite. With the exception of pictures, there are no taboo topics here, and everyone is free to be honest with their thoughts. Some members may choose to be objective, others may choose to be subjective. Therefore, the opinions expressed by members do not necessarily reflect those of board staff members and vice versa.
In saying all of this, Bardolatry is not an "elitist" community. We're a friendly group (as long as you follow the rules) and I'm not claiming to be smarter than anyone. I just don't like rudeness, pseudo conversations, and my time being wasted.
